New Video - Tabidansu

The tabi-dansu (traveller's chest) was designed in the 1500s to carry tea equipage when travelling of on military campaign. The chest can be used in a tea room on tatami, or equally on a makeshift outdoor tea area. It is often used with a hanging  kettle, both in April (Northern Hemisphere) before the change to brazier and outside by suspending a kettle from a tree branch or bamboo tripod.
